The Caldera Springs Lake House is your social and activity center. It has a warm and friendly atmosphere with a lodge-style entertainment room showcasing views of Obsidian Lake and Mt. The concierge team has a wealth of knowledge about Caldera Springs and the surrounding area. They will gladly assist you and your family so that your time spent in Caldera Springs is both adventurous and relaxing. In the summer the Lake House Concierge can assist you with golf tee times, boat rental and bike rental.
Zeppa Bistro is part of the Lake House and is open from Memorial day to Labor Day. Zeppa Bistro overlooks the lake and features indoor and outdoor seating and breathtaking views of Mt. Bachelor. You can also put on a spirited family celebration or just have a simple picnic at the open-air Harper’s Outpost pavilion. Refreshing lakes and flowing streams sparkle throughout Caldera Springs. The seven acres of lakes and miles of streams are a big part of what makes living and visiting here so inviting. You’ll find it easy to navigate the clear waters in an ever-increasing variety of watercraft. Canoes, kayaks, paddleboards and even a small sailboat are ready and waiting by the dock for newfound family adventures. Catch and release fishing for Rainbow Trout is always a fun favorite.
Obsidian Lake is the largest lake in Caldera Springs. The lake is fed from Caldera Springs whose headwaters is located on the southern edge of the community. The springs trickle forming Fireglass Lake with a feeder stream to Trailmere Lake and then into Obsidian Lake.

The Bob Cupp-designed golf facility has been created to make this great game approachable and enjoyable for families of all ages. Your family and friends can easily learn and play together on the nine-hole course that ranges from 70 to 150 yards in length. Sporting an infinity pool, two outdoor spa pools plus a kids’ splash deck, the Quarry Pool is a marvel of moving and falling water. The expansive sun deck overlooks Obsidian Lake. The nearly nine miles of paved paths and soft trails wind their way through forests of evergreens, across lush meadows and along lakes and streams.

Discovery Park is the perfect place for their imaginations to bosom. Situated next to the Quarry Pool and Fitness Center and overlooking Obsidian Lake, it is a beautiful place to play. Discovery Park is a unique combination of learning and playing. The park features life sized musical instruments, a climbing rock for daring little climbers, an interactive stream and waterway system, just perfect for building and exploring with nature, and high-flying swings.
You can also enjoy the sport courts for tennis, pickle ball, and basketball. Shoot some hoops in your free time. The basketball court is located next to the Quarry Pool and Fitness Center. Ponderosa Park with its expansive lawn area is idea for tossing Frisbees, flying kites, playing lawn games, softball, soccer or just running around being a kid. Ponderosa Park is located just east of the Lake House. The peaceful Sable Rock Park, located of of Trailmere Circle, boasts wide-open meadows, a hidden grass maze as well as its own lake system and a winding stream for scenic walks and bike rides.
More than 600,000 years ago the spectacular crimson eruptions of the Newberry Volcano changed the face of the land around Sunriver and Bend. The Newberry Volcano contains a large caldera and within the caldera are two lakes: Paulina Lake and East Lake.
