Lakes & Streams

Refreshing lakes and flowing streams sparkle throughout Caldera Springs. The seven acres of lakes and miles of streams are a big part of what makes living and visiting here so inviting. You’ll find it easy to navigate the clear waters in an ever-increasing variety of watercraft. Canoes, kayaks and paddleboards are ready and waiting by the dock for newfound family adventures. Catch and release fishing for Rainbow Trout is always a fun favorite.

Obsidian Lake is the largest lake in Caldera Springs. The lake is fed from Caldera Springs whose headwaters is located on the southern edge of the community. The springs trickle forming Fireglass Lake with a feeder stream to Trailmere Lake and then into Obsidian Lake.

Trails

The nearly nine miles of paved paths and soft trails wind their way through forests of evergreens, across lush meadows and along lakes and streams.

Winter & Mt Bachelor

Mt. Bachelor is located just 15 miles from Caldera Springs, and is the sixth largest ski area in North America! Mt Bachelor boasts the highest skiable elevation in all of Oregon and Washington and you can head off in any direction, 360 degrees from the summit of this cone shaped volcano. Mt Bachelor has 4,300 skiable acres, a 3,365 vertical foot drop, 101 runs and averages an amazing 400+ inches of snow each year.
