Published on July 5, 2022
Summer is in full swing at Caldera Springs, which means endless outdoor activities set amidst Sunriver’s stunning natural landscape. With Central Oregon’s sun-soaked summer climate, there are endless opportunities for outdoor recreation — from relaxing by the pool to challenging trail adventures. Read about five must-try summertime activities for the whole family.
Swimming
Boasting an infinity pool, two outdoor spa pools and a kids’ splash deck, Caldera Springs’ popular Quarry Pool is the perfect place to soak up the sunshine with incredible views of Obsidian Lake.

Golfing
It’s not a complete summer afternoon without a round at Caldera Links golf course. Designed by the same team at Crosswater and developed by renowned architect Bob Cupp, this family-friendly 9-hole course offers a fun, approachable atmosphere for all to enjoy.

Lake Adventures
Seven acres of lakes and streams offer plenty of ways to enjoy time on the water at Caldera Springs, where canoes, kayaks and paddleboards await by the dock for newfound adventures. Catch and release fishing for Rainbow Trout is another summertime favorite for the whole family.

Bike Rides
Caldera Springs enjoys nearly nine miles of paved paths and soft trails winding through forests of evergreens, lush meadows, lakes and streams. Bike rentals are available at the Lake House for Caldera Springs owners and vacation rental home guests.
