Spring is one of our favorite seasons at Caldera Springs, with nature coming alive and opportunities for recreation abounding. During the season, our residents are busy paddleboarding, kayaking, and swimming; exploring the scenic trails just moments away; and spending a day on the green. Breathe in the fresh mountain air, take in the sights, and experience a forest escape that soothes the soul and rejuvenates the spirit.

Take in Views from the Lake House
Come springtime, the Lake House becomes an even more breathtaking gathering place to socialize and unwind on the deck, with the spectacle of Paulina Peak and majestic Mt. Bachelor in the background. The warm and friendly atmosphere includes a lodge-style entertainment room showcasing views of Obsidian Lake and Mt. Bachelor. The outdoor deck and beach feature both a fire pit and stone fireplace for après sunset activities. Enjoy dining (and exquisite sunsets) from Memorial Day through Labor Day at Zeppa Bistro overlooking the lake.

Bike the Sites
Take in the surrounding beauty of Caldera Springs on bicycle—cruise, feel the breeze, and enjoy the wonders that make this community a true hidden gem. Complimentary for all Caldera Springs owners, bicycles are at the ready for your next adventure.

Get Out On the Lake
Get a dose of Caldera Springs’s refreshing lakes and flowing streams up close. With seven acres of lakes and miles of streams, there’s plenty of opportunity to canoe, kayak, and paddleboard—a memorable family adventure you won’t forget. Catch-and-release fishing for Rainbow Trout is always a fun favorite for lake days.
Find complimentary water crafts at the Caldera Springs Lake House for use on Obsidian Lake, the largest lake in Caldera Springs.
Rentals are available daily 9:00 am to 4:00 pm at the Lake House Concierge.
Make a Splash at Quarry Pool
The Quarry Pool is a marvel of moving and falling water, sporting an infinity pool, two outdoor spa pools, and a kids’ splash deck. Luxuriate on an expansive sun deck overlooking Obsidian Lake and enjoy the incredible amenities within the facility.
The Quarry Pool opens Memorial Day Weekend, with hours from 10 am – 8 pm daily. For questions, please call 541-593-4850.
Access All-Ages Play at Discovery Park
With outdoor play areas for the whole family, everyone can experience their favorite pastimes at Caldera Springs. Situated next to the Quarry Pool and Fitness Center and overlooking Obsidian Lake, it is a beautiful place to play and watch little imaginations blossom. Discovery Park is a unique combination of learning and playing. The park features life-sized musical instruments, a climbing rock for daring little climbers, an interactive stream and waterway system—just perfect for building and exploring with nature—and high-flying swings.
Enjoy the Fitness Center
From our abundantly stocked locker rooms and fully furnished fitness center to year-round outdoor spas, an infinity edge pool (open seasonally) with beach-style entry, a water slide, and built-in water guns, you will never want to leave. Start your morning on the best note, or close out your day with some exercise.

Hike the Trails
Get your zen moment with a picturesque hike. There are plenty of trails to choose from with nearly nine miles of paved paths and soft trails winding their way through Caldera Springs. Get some fresh air and let your thoughts flow as you meander through forests of evergreens, lush meadows, and along sparkling lakes and streams.
Get Your Golf On at Caldera Links
A family-friendly 9-hole golf course, Caldera Links makes the great game of golf approachable and enjoyable. Golfers of all skill levels will find the three regulation-length holes perfect for practicing with every club. The incredible Bob Cupp-designed course is exclusive to Caldera Springs homeowners and Sunriver Resort guests.
Caldera Links is open from May 14 through October 17, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm daily. The course is walking only, with pull carts available. The dress code is resort casual. A putting/chipping green is also available.
Have a Bonfire on the Beach
Sit back and enjoy magnificent sunsets with marshmallows roasting on the fire. Grab some s’mores fixin’s at Zeppa and enjoy this time-honored tradition with family and friends.
