A Season of Traditions Returns to Caldera Springs

Published on October 16, 2026

The 2026–27 Traditions calendar fills the holidays with festive dinners, creative afternoons, fireside treats, and winter fun in Central Oregon.

The holidays at Caldera Springs, Central Oregon’s premier residential resort community near Sunriver Resort, come with familiar rituals: kids dropping letters to Santa, marshmallows roasting around the fire, Thanksgiving dinner overlooking the lake and a morning spent wobbling through the pines. The 2026–27 Traditions calendar returns in November with a full lineup that continues through the new year, giving owners and guests plenty of reasons to spend the season together.

Thanksgiving weekend gets things started with dinner at Lake House on Thursday, November 26. The family-style menu features herb-roasted turkey, classic stuffing, roasted yams with sage brown butter, homemade rolls and assorted mini pies. The next morning, the Annual Turkey Wobble 3K Fun Walk returns on Friday, November 27. Coffee, hot chocolate, snacks, music and cozy knit gloves await at the finish and leashed four-legged companions are welcome to join.

Forest House, Caldera Springs’ community social hub, hosts many of December’s traditions. Younger guests can send Letters to Santa through Christmas Eve, and Holiday Clue turns the community into a seasonal mystery to solve. Saturdays call for Family S’mores around the fire, and this year’s calendar also includes holiday slime classes, ornament painting, Christmas Carol-oke and a Christmas Eve reading of ’Twas the Night Before Christmas with hot cocoa and cookies.

Christmas Day adds another reason to gather at Lake House, with a family-style dinner of prime rib, mashed potatoes, gravy and assorted mini pies. The celebrations continue after Christmas with a New Year’s Resolution & Wish Jar at Forest House before the Family New Year’s Eve Celebration on December 31. Holiday bingo, movie trivia, crafts, a winter Olympics, a snowflake hunt, duckpin bowling, hot cocoa and cookies lead up to a sparkling cider toast at 9 p.m.
